The Menendez Brothers

If you have not noticed the Menedez Brothers and their case, they have gained so much attention recently. A new Netflix documentary has come out called, “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story”. The case has always been semi-popular but it has now started getting more attention from the media and from celebrities as well. Some celebrities such as Kim Kardashian have even stated their opinions on the brothers’ case and that they should be released from prison immediately. This show has also repopularized some older songs from the late 80s like Blame It on The Rain by Milli Vanilli, Dirty Cash by Adventures of Stevie V and Don’t Dream it’s Over by Crowded House.

Since this case has gotten so much attention, the court has even reopened the case and considered letting Lyle and Erik get resentenced and possibly get released on parole. It was also said that their families have even spoken out to the judges about letting them free. It has gotten to the point that the Menedez Family thinks they should be given back their freedom, however their uncle disagrees with them on Erik and Lyle receiving their freedom back and thinking they should remain in prison. Although the show is about their lives and the case itself, some of the content is completely made up for the dramatics. This case itself is an extremely tragic story that deserves all the attention it has received. These brothers have seemed to go through so much with each other which explains why this story is so interesting and seems to alway stay relevant over the years.
