On February 23, 2025, the Golden State Warriors put on a dominant performance against the Dallas Mavericks, winning 126-102. It was a night filled with excitement, as the Warriors made a statement in front of their home crowd at Chase Center. Stephen Curry was the star of the show, leading the charge with 30 points and seven assists. He was fired up all night, especially in the third quarter when he scored 16 points. His ability to create his own shot and dish out dimes was a key part of the Warriors' success. Jimmy Butler also had an impressive game, scoring 18 points and adding five assists in his home debut for the Warriors. The fans loved the energy he brought to the team. Golden State got off to a strong start, jumping out to a 33-18 lead by the end of the first quarter. Their defense was tight, forcing the Mavericks into 18 turnovers, and they dominated the boards with a 54-41 rebound advantage. Draymond Green contributed across the board, with 13 points, six assists, and four rebounds, while Moses Moody stepped up with 14 points off the bench. The Mavericks had some bright spots, like Kyrie Irving and P.J. Washington each scored 17 points, but they were no match for the Warriors' firepower. Golden State’s bench also chipped in with key contributions, including a career-high 13 rebounds from Brandin Podziemski. The Warriors' fast-break game was unstoppable, outscoring Dallas 30-11 in transition points. The win brought the Warriors' record to 31-27, closing the gap with Dallas. It was their third straight victory, showing they’re hitting their stride at just the right time. Fans were also buzzing about the pre-game ceremony where Andre Iguodala’s No. 9 jersey was retired, adding extra excitement to an already great night.
