Neuralink

Updated: Jan 14, 2023

Neuralink is a neurotech company that makes, in simple words, brain chips. Neuralink is a company that was founded by Elon Musk. It isn't a surprise that the multi-billionaire is now involved with brain chip technology, knowing that he has a history with tech; some of them being the founder of Tesla and SpaceX. What exactly is Mr. Musk's goal with the brain chip?

To start off, the brain chip, according to Neuralink, is used to connect humans and technology together according to CNN. With Neuralink, the goal is to make life easier by joining to technology. Basically, with the chip you’ll be able to think and get an answer fast due to the tech involved and not only that; be prepared because Musk also stated that it could “solve "autism” and “schizophrenia.” This chip is the future if it is successful. The billionaire stated in a podcast, "We will not be able to be smarter than a digital supercomputer, so, therefore, if you cannot beat 'em, join 'em.”

Neuralink has already started testing on animals, one of them being monkeys. One of the monkeys being tested with the brain chip was playing a game; the monkey was given what looks like a metal straw and was putting it in his mouth. The monkey was not using his hands and only using his mind and was able to touch the highlighted key. This is just incredible, and shows that technology is advancing super super fast. Some people may not agree with this, but like Musk stated, we must with the join tech. Musk’s goal is to solve brain injuries and other issues; therefore, he stated that human testing could possibly begin in about 6 months.

Ladies and gentlemen, a key to our future might just be right around the corner. Although some may not agree with this, I believe that if the company Neuralink is successful with the chip at curing brain problems and include advanced technology in a human, this could be one of the best things that could happen to humanity. Musk is a guy that cares about the future just like he started Tesla. I think that Neuralink will indeed succeed with its chip to help humans.
