Dear Margot, Group Chats and Gossip

Dear Margot,

“I just found out that my friends made a group chat without me. We all have a big group chat together but a couple of them made a separate one to talk behind my back.”

First off, I'm so sorry. That feeling when you realize people you trusted are talking behind your back? It sucks. Like, majorly. 

Let me say: it says way more about them than it does about you. Real friends don't do sneaky, shady stuff like making secret group chats just to gossip. That is immature and just mean.

You deserve people who hype you up, not tear you down in private. It might be time to take a step back and see who's really in your corner. You don't need to confront anyone unless you want to, but protect your peace, always. 

Stay strong and keep your head high. The right people will never make you feel excluded.
